| Inspired by the Victorian paintings of the French countryside, with a thread of the morbid. Improving upon the classic much-sought-after original "Providence" skirt for this fresh new version! Available in two color schemes in all sizes. The "Providence" skirt is the easiest way to create an eye catching look with minimal effort. Looks great with any of our tops or with our lace collarette for a period feel. The skirt itself is made of a lovely black twill fabric, with a touch of spandex for a comfortable fit. The fabric itself has tone on tone vertical striping, which appears as a faint line down the length of the skirt. This subtle line helps to create the tall Gothic statuesque silhouette. The comfortable elastic waist can be worn high or low depending on your footwear and the event! Dress it up with platforms for evening or wear it with strappy sandals for daytime. The front of the skirt features a triangular panel of gorgeous cream colored French toille fabric. Patterned with idyllic images of the French countryside, peasants fishing and frolicking under voluminous trees. This skirt is also offered with a simple grey panel, if you prefer that over the Toille. It's a lovely pewter color and is accompanied with steel d-rings instead of ribbon loops, and wider ribbon for the corsetting. The front panel is elegantly framed by blood red fabric, the same color as the hem of the skirt- and corset laces (decorative) across the upper part. The hem of this skirt features a gathered ruffle, ideal for creating the illusion a small waist (full skirt thus everything above seems smaller) while still hugging the body above. The skirt itself is meant to hang at the ankle, for a Victorian shape. |
