How we Make Our Pieces

Gloomth is fueled by passion, we truly believe in the art we create.
We are devoted to providing exceptional quality and creative presentation, with the best
customer service possible. Shopping online ought to be a decadent, exciting experience and
we strive to express this with everything from our fabric choices to our final packaging.  

Each item in our catalogue is pulled from our imagination, blending inspiration and eras to
create a truly unique style that cannot be found elsewhere. From the Victorian mansions
to the morose Gothic graveyards, we find our inspiration all around us.

Each Gloomth piece is 100% hand made in Canada, in our studio. Therefore free of any
unfair or cruel labour practices. We use all new materials, and will occasionally combine
some antique fabrics or notions when suitable. Our pieces are professionally made by
hand-- from developing the pattern to the final stitch- and will last for years. When you
order something from our array of "Select Order" designs, that piece will be cut from the
fabric and sewn for you alone, upon your request.

Every piece is a work of art, with great care and expertise going into it's construction. From
coating ribbon ends so they don't fray to carefully hand-attaching each button. Therefore
each is slightly different. We strive to provide as much information as we can regarding
each design, if there is something we have forgotten please don't hesitate to ask us.

We have chosen to produce our designs in extremely limited quantities to maintain their
unique aspect and rarity. You will likely never encounter another person wearing the exact
same garment. Often once a design sells out it will never be resurrected, and thus our
catalogue changes quite regularly.

This passion translates down to our packaging itself. We inspect and hand-wrap your order,
and tuck a mourning card with the care instructions inside. Each order is accompanied by
a petite scent sachet with a faint scent to freshen the items, so your order will always arrive
