| "Lobelia in Jet" Victorian Mourning Ephemera Corsetted Blouse |
| Inspired by the first Gloomths, the black crepe wearing mourners of Walpole's era. This exquisitely elegant blouse is a perfect staple for the spring. It has a classic late Victorian silhouette, with its large sleeves and a slim waist. Made of feather light textured linen blend, it is light enough for a spring day, or to layer with a tank top. Finished with actual mourning era, 1860's, jet beads and beaded trim at the neckline (slightly different than shown). This classic blouse buttons down the front with faux-jet black "ball" buttons. There are also three buttons on each 3/4 length sleeve. Features a stand-up collar with an open neckline. Trimmed in strips of the same black linen with unfinished edges for a distressed Gothic feel. Gathered fabric at the bust and hemming the sleeves. The blouse corset laces up the back with black satin ribbon, this can be used to slightly adjust the fit to create a waspie waist or more fitted silhouette. Overall this blouse has an incredibly figure flattering shape, with it's nipped in waist and large sleeves it will create that Victorian hourglass figure on any frame. |
