The measurements you see posted in the listings are specific to each design, which is
why a small in one style may be slightly different than a small in another. You'll find
most of our designs are available in small, medium, and large; these sizes are fairly
standard through the catalogue.
We post individual measurements (rather than rely on umbrella sizing) because each
piece is completely hand crafted. Depending on the fabrics and the cut of the piece the
size may vary slightly from garment to garment- as is the case with all hand made
clothing.

We want you to have as much information on the creations as possible prior to
purchase.

~ Determining Your Size ~

If you are ever unsure of a size or garment please email us, we are always happy to
send you any additional measurements or answer any questions you may have. We
answer all inquiries within 24 hours. There are a couple ways of determining the best
size for your figure:

The first is to find a similar garment in your current wardrobe, of a similar fabric (i.e.
non-stretch or stretch) lay it flat on the floor or a table. Use a flexible sewing
measuring tape to measure from armpit to armpit (if a top/dress/coat), the length
-from shoulder seam or strap to bottom, and the waist/under-bust if necessary. Double
all these measurements (i.e. an 18' inch bust on a top = a 36 bust circumference) and
you'll be able to compare those to the ones posted in our listings.

The second way requires a little more finesse, you'll need a flexible sewing measuring
tape or a piece of string (and something to measure the string with).

Bust- Wrap the measuring tape or string around your bust while wearing your favorite
bra, at the WIDEST point- this is not the same place on everyone. Make sure it sits
comfortably, you don't want it to be too tight or the garment won't fit properly.

Waist- Measure your NATURAL waist, which is usually situated around your navel
where skirts and dresses may hang. If you prefer to wear skirts lower on your hips
measure that area. Again, ensure the tape/string is loose enough to be comfortable.

Length for a garment is best found by measuring an existing piece of the appropriate
length within your own wardrobe.

~ Other Sizing Issues ~

Some of our sizes sell out more quickly than others, if you don't see your size listed
feel free to contact us. We may be planning to produce more of that design, or we may
have enough fabric left to make another.  In other cases the fabric is limited to the few
available and won't be remade.

We don't currently offer a tailoring or custom size service. Tailoring is best performed
in person, as it is really difficult to adjust fit correctly without the client there with
you.  You can find a tailor to help you in your local yellow pages or commercial
listings.

~ Select Order Sizing ~

Some items in our catalogue are produced solely upon request. The fabric for these is
very limited and only a few will ever be made.  All sizes will be available for these
pieces, however there is a waiting period for us to construct the garment. For more
information on our Select Order system (here) and the process of making our pieces
(here). If you have any questions regarding our sizing, measurements, etc please email
