Lapis lazuli is a semi-precious stone prized for it’s exquisite blue shade since 7500 BCE. It was also ground to create ultramarine pigment for paint and frescoes. This dress embodies the history and the beauty of this beautiful stone.

-Soft royal blue velvet with loads of stretch! The color is reminiscent of the blue used for early Moi-même-Moitié designs. It contrasts beautifully with black and white and silver to make creating a stunning outfit easily!
-Short puffed sleeves with elastic cuffs.
-High neckline comprised of a soft single layered ruffle which is open at the back. The ruffle easily splays to fit a variety of neck sizes.
-Back concealed zipper closure.
-Hand wash cold, hang to dry, iron on low when necessary. We do recommend dry cleaning for this dress as it will preserve the velvet more beautifully. Due to the method the fabric was dyed some color leakage may occur in the first washing (if not dry cleaned), to avoid staining other items wash this dress alone the first time (color leakage won’t impact the color of the garment).
-Decorative buttons at the yoke. Framed in velvet ruffles.
-Fitted bodice.
-Full skirt wide enough for even your biggest petticoat (not included). Hangs as a simple A-line style dress without a petticoat underneath. The fabric is quite heavy so we suggest doubling up your petticoat or using the strongest one in your arsenal for the most poof.
-Rows of ruffles adorn the skirt.
